FAQs
How long have you been a photographer?
I’ve been a professional photographer for about 10 years now. Best decision ever!
Can you tell me about your process?
Once you’ve booked your portrait session with me, I will schedule a planning call where we get to know one another, discuss location options, what to wear and what to expect during your session. I will send out a questionnaire and reminder emails leading up to your session date. Once your session is over, I will typically have your images ready in 2-3 weeks, then we schedule your order session.
How long does the session take and what is included?
Portrait sessions usually last from 1-3 hours, depending on which package you selected. All sessions include a planning call and online gallery for viewing and ordering. Headshots typically last about 30 minutes-1 hour.
I’m not a model and I don’t know what to do. Will you give me posing guidance?
Not to worry. I will guide you on how to pose for the more structured shots but there will be times when I tell you to forget I’m even there so that I can capture the more candid moments.
How do you handle children during a session?
I typically let children be their wacky, rambunctious selves during portrait sessions. The best candid shots (and usually your most favorite) come from just letting them be.
What products do you offer?
I offer mounted prints, canvas prints, metal prints, acrylic blocks, and albums.
How will I be able to choose which prints I want?
During your ordering session, we will sit down together and I will help you with choosing which images you want printed.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes. I understand that not everyone can pay the deposit and remaining balance in just two payments so I have payment plans, if needed, to suit your needs.
What are your terms and conditions?
Your non-refundable retainer must be paid at the time of booking to secure your session date and time. If for some reason, the weather does not cooperate, you will have the opportunity to reschedule your session. If you need to reschedule for other reasons besides weather, you will need to do so at least a week in advance or forfeit your retainer. If you cancel your session and you have paid the full session fee, you will receive a refund minus the retainer. If for any reason I have to cancel your session, you will be given a full refund. If you show up late to your session, a late fee will be charged.
